The Tantela Ranch Lodge
The Tantela Ranch, once part of the original Tantela Ranch during the 1950s, which was a working cattle ranch and the private resort of Mr.Tandy Hamilton, founder of the Piccadilly Cafeteria chain. The Tantela Ranch is located on 9.876 acres of beautiful and unique land in Folsom, Louisiana.
The original lodge house is an approximately 2,010 square foot, hand crafted, log cabin-type home situated on land bordering the Little Tchefuncte River, a tributary of the historic Tchefunchte River. The lodge interior features wooden, hand-crafted, individualized ceilings and walls.
The grounds offer an array of scenic landscapes: open fields, a private riverfront beach, an artesian fed, 1.4 acre pond, wooded areas, a small swamp, home to Bald Cypress trees and Wood Ducks. Rows of majestic Live Oak trees line the driveways leading to the lodge.
The Tantela Ranch offers a perfect location for filming movies, commercials, or photoshoots.
The main lodge house has three bedrooms, two full baths, a den, a large, stone fireplace in the spacious living room, and several outdoor patios. The home is equipped with an updated, large, kitchen and dining area. The master bedroom accommodates a king size bed and full bath. The home also has a convenient full-size washer and dryer.

The Bar-be-cue Room
The bar-be-cue room is a 30' X 28’, screened-in facility where food can be prepared on a stone, 4’ X 12’ bar-be-cue pit. This area is also equipped with a 25’ stainless steel serving station from which guests may serve themselves. In addition, there are double stainless steel sinks with hot and cold water for cleaning bar-be-cue utensils.
The Bar-be-que facility offers plenty of seating and dining areas for guests. The room boasts two large picnic tables that seat approximately eight people per side. In addition to the tables, there are twenty-six cypress stools, harvested from trees grown on the property, which allow dining at the bar area that overlooks the pond, with stunning views of the surrounding property.

The Gazebo's
The lawn gazebo is a large 24’ x 24’ structure located in the center of the lawn, near the main house. The gazebo is a relaxing, enjoyable, and elevated area with wrap-around seating to enjoy all the activities. The gazebo doubles as a bandstand when entertainment is provided.
The pond gazebo is a 12’ x 24’ open structure located in the middle of the artesian fed pond. This gazebo is entered by way of a sixty foot long pier. Several seating areas provide a tranquil oasis with a panoramic view.
